Almost any product can be a Sephora Must Have to the right person, but some products are not only my favorite products but are also highly recommended and reviewed by other beauty lovers.

The Inkey List – Oat Cleansing Balm ($13)

This oil to cream product does a great job at removing makeup and cleansing the skin.

You will love the Oat Cleansing Balm if you have sensitive skin, dry skin or anyone looking for an “affordable” option ($12) to remove the makeup and cleanse the skin.

I also love this cleanser because it comes in an easy to use squeeze tube!

Oat Cleansing Balm Key Features:

• Oat Kernel Oil 3%: Moisturizes and hydrates.
• Colloidal Oatmeal: Visibly reduces redness and soothes irritated skin.

 

Kiehl’s – Ferulic Brew Facial Treatment Essence with Lactic Acid ($62)

I originally tried the Ferulic Brew Essence as a sample and immediately fell in love with it.

I use a hydrating toner or essence before serums, and I love the fact that this essence is hydrating but also has active ingredients (AHA) that target pores and texture.

I don’t know how they formulated a product to be both hydrating and have active, effective ingredients but this product is amazing.

• Ferulic Acid: Defends against free radicals to prevent visible signs of aging and dullness.
• Lactic Acid (AHA): Refines the look of tone and texture for visibly smoother, more even, glowing skin.

Fresh – Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner ($48)

This toner is considered a “Holy Grail” skincare product for so many people, and it’s definitely on the must have list for me as well because it hydrates AND smooths the skin over time.

The Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner can be used morning or night and all skin types rave about it; oily skin, combination skin (that’s my skin type), dry skin, and mature skin.

Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner Key Features:

• Rose Fruit Extract: Known for its toning properties.
• Rosewater: Soothes and nourishes.
• Angelica Leaf Extract: Helps retain moisture.

 

The Ordinary – Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum ($6)

Niacinamide is an active ingredient product that stays in my routine.

I get post acne hyperpigmentation (dark spots) and niacinamide helps to brighten and smooth that area.

A lot of beauty brands sell Niacinamide, but I don’t find it necessary to spend a lot of money on it.

The active ingredient alone does wonders. So, I tend to buy my niacinamide from brands that have affordable prices.

The ordinary is known for skincare products with lower price points and not a lot of added ingredients.

The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% is simple, effective and the best part is the price tag, under $10! Love it!

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum Key Features:

• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and signs of congestion, visibly brightens skin tone.
• Zinc PCA: Visibly regulates excess sebum activity.

 

Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil ($23)

This product is such a part of my normal makeup routine that I almost forgot to include it.

I really like easy glide eyeliners and urban decay makes the best long wearing, easy to use waterproof eyeliner pencil.

I continue to buy the 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner when I run out because I know I can depend on it.

I also have a similar drugstore favorite but I can cover that in another post when I talk about drugstore must haves.

Sephora Collection – Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer ($15)

I truly love the best skin ever concealer line.

This very expansive concealer line has so many shades and undertones that I have two shades!

We are in the beauty era of “your skin but better”, and Sephora formulated the Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer to be used by all skin types.

I think dry skin, combination skin or oily skin beauties will love this product.

It sets really beautifully with powder under the eyes, or I can do a complete face with just the concealer.

It looks beautiful either way.

Sephora Collection – Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation ($20)

The Best Skin Ever Foundation is just as amazing as the concealer.

This is one of the few medium-coverage foundations that look great with or without powder and also has buildable coverage.

This is one of the best Sephora products with a formula that doesn’t seem to be a dupe for another product.

Some retailers focus too much on duping products from luxury brands, but the Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Foundation feels unique.

It has a natural finish that has the perfect amount of coverage, and has a lightweight formula.

The 50 different shades also make it inclusive for everyone!

Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation Key Features:

• Hyaluronic Acid and Red Algae Extract: Hydrates.
• Brown Algae Extract: Provides an anti-pollution protective shield.
• Medium-coverage, natural-finish foundation.

 

Peter Thomas Roth – Water Drench Hyaluronic Hydrating Moisturizer SPF 45 ($23-$55)

I cannot tell you how many SPF moisturizers I’ve tried.

I have an entire post on SPF and a post on SPF moisturizers that are great for people of color.

The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench line is amazing. It’s one of my favorite skin care lines.

But the Water Drench Hydrating Moisturizer SPF 45 is the best!

It’s lightweight, it does not have any white cast, and I think is hydrating without that greasy sunscreen feeling.

I will continue to purchase this over and over again because it is rare to find a hydrating moisturizer SPF that is thin enough for me to wear throughout the year (warm or cold weather).

Water Drench Hyaluronic Hydrating Moisturizer Key Features:

• Broad Spectrum SPF 45: Water-resistant sunscreens shields skin from visibly aging UVA/UVB rays.
• Pentavitin: Provides hydration for up to 72 hours—even after cleansing.
• 30% Hyaluronic Acid Complex: Moisturizes and keeps skin hydrated during sun exposure.

 

Supergoop – Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 ($22-$48)

The Unseen Sunscreen is a Holy Grail for me other beauty lovers who like a sunscreen that is easy to apply, has no white cast and as that grippy silicon like texture (which is perfect for makeup application).

Supergoop is known for their amazing sunscreen products, but I continue to re-stock my Unseen Sunscreen because it looks great under makeup, on no makeup days, and on days where you’re actually looking to prevent sun damage.

I even keep a smaller version of the sunscreen in my travel bag because I can’t go without it.

Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 Key Features:

• Complex Derived from Meadowfoam Seed: Helps increase hydration levels, resulting in a more even skin texture.
• Frankincense: Helps to provide a soothing effect.
• Acts as a makeup-gripping daily primer.

 

First Aid Beauty – Facial Radiance Pads ($20-$38)

What’s amazing about this product, and the reason why it’s an OG skincare favorite is because it’s easy and effective.

You simply take one of the pre-moistened pads out, and gently wipe it over the skin.

The Facial Radiance Pads are gentle enough to work on all skin types, for skincare newbies, and can be used in any type of skincare routine since it dries down with no visible dryness or shine.

Facial Radiance Pads Key Features:

• Glycolic and Lactic Acids: Alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate skin, helping it appear brighter and with improved texture.
• Lemon Peel: A natural extract that helps brighten skin’s appearance.
• Indian Gooseberry: A natural extract that helps tone skin.

 

Kiehl’s – Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask with Aloe Vera ($47)

This mask is a “Holy Grail” product for me because I dermaplane my face.

I don’t care for the Peach fuzz on my face, so I gently shave it off.

After dermaplaning, I like to calm the skin by using a hydrating facial mask.

The Calendula Calming Mask is perfect to keep my skin from irritation and I love the scent.

Plus, I only use a small amount of product so it lasts a while.

• Aloe: Hydrates and improves the appearance of skin.
• Calendula Extract: Soothes and calms skin.

 

Gisou – Honey Infused Hair Perfume ($44-$83)

I never thought that I would use a hair perfume, and I always thought that it was a useless product.

But now that I use the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume I can no longer live without it.

I will continue to purchase this because I want it to smell as good as it looks on good days, and essentially cover up the hot mess hair on bad days.

Honey Infused Hair Perfume Key Features:

• Mirsalehi Honey: A natural humectant that deeply hydrates and nourishes to restore hair’s natural moisture balance for stronger, healthy-looking, shinier hair.

 

Ouai – Cleansing Scalp & Body Sugar Scrub ($40)

The Ouai signature scent is rosey and warm at the same time, and I love it year round.

The Cleansing Scalp & Sugar Scrub itself is strong enough to exfoliate the skin but isn’t too harsh and doesn’t leave the skin dry at all.

I love this scrub and continue to buy it because it softens my skin, leaves it hydrated, and smells great.

I haven’t used it as a scalp scrub though.

Laneige – Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C ($24)

When it comes to lip sleeping masks, I like masks that are hydrating but aren’t sticky.

The lip mask also has to last all night on my lips.

Lineage makes the best sleeping masks for lips, its one of those iconic beauty products.

I continue to buy the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask because it smooths the lips, it’s not sticky and smells nice.

Plus, there are so many different fun scents!

Beautyblender – Original Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge ($20)

I think the a beauty sponge is something that every beauty lover should have in their collection, even if you prefer the drugstore version that is really popular from real techniques.

You can do everything with a Beauty Blender, that’s one of the reason it has mostly five-star reviews.

If you are in a pinch for time or don’t have access to makeup brushes, you can apply your foundation, concealer, powder, blush, and almost everything else with a beauty sponge.
