This is a very interesting time of year for lots of industries.
In the beauty community, and particularly in the beauty blogging industry Fall is a mad dash to get your crap together, because right around the corner is holiday season and for a lot of us that is thee biggest season of the year.
It’s interesting because you have to prepare soooo far ahead just for the chance that something good happens to your business.
It could be going viral or getting the attention of brands, or simply more followers.
Some creators and bloggers start holiday content as early as August!
I’m already scrambling because I’m late on updating content, creating new content for Fall, and therefore I may be really behind by Christmas.
And I’m doing all of this rush work, in hopes that some piece of content takes off…in some way…any way really!
The blogging & content creator niche is all about hopes and dreams.
You do a lot of work not knowing whether it’s going to pay off.
The content you think will take off, bombs and the content you just do on a whim get the most traction.
So maybe I need to embrace and find comfortability in that truth.
Maybe I need to go with my gut and trust that my content will eventually find its audience.
…that takes confidence though.
Trusting and believing in yourself vs. hoping and just praying it all works out.
I envy those who are confident in their abilities to successfully succeed.
They take risks because they believe in their talent and creativity. Plus, they don’t give up.
But for those of us who’s confidence is shaky (at best) it’s a constant struggle.
Am I doing the right thing? Wait, what am I doing? Why am I doing this?
It’s really nerve wracking, but I have to find comfortability in the unknown.
And so I guess, as with most things, it comes down to confidence.
Feeling like you have something to offer and you’re going to do your best to offer that up to anyone and everyone.
Mostly trusting and believing, with a side of hope and prayer.
