I have a love/hate relationship with the ELF Cosmetics Ride or Die Lip Balm. Before I get into why, lets all cheer for this affordable lip balm (at just $5)!
ELF describes “Ride of Die” as a “intensely hydrating tinted lip balm with sheer wash of color”.

Ride or Die Lip Balm Quick Review
I purchased this balm in Tough Cookie described as a “sheer warm caramel with a warm brown sugar scent”
The scent of Tough Cookie is sweet but not over powering. The sheer wash of color is definitely a “your lips but better” tint that will suit all skin tones.
I love this product. The balm is ultra glossy but not sticky and wears for hours. I am shocked that a $5 lip balm performs so well.
BUT, and this is a BIG BUT…it’s so hard to get this balm out of the tube!
A wand applicator would have been great for this product instead of a difficult “squeeze tube”.
Everything else about this product is exactly as described and that’s why I’m willing to struggle with the application.
You will love this product if:
- You like drugstore products
- Want ultra glossy lips
- Like sheer wash of color
You might not like this product if:
- Gripping or squeezing is difficult for you
- You dont like applying products using your hands

Ooooooo, I might have to try these out! Especially for summer! Thanks for the review. I would have never known about this product. (I’ll be honest, I haven’t stopped by the E.L.F. Display is quite some time lol.)
