I took a look at my most recent Sephora purchases/loves, and there are some standout favorites!
But, I gotta throw in some of the skips (ie. not worth your money) on there too…just in case some of them were on your wishlist.
Kiehl’s Better Screen Serum Sunscreen – Sephora Must Have
I have no idea how Kiehl’s managed to formulate a thin, no white cast, high protection (SPF 50) sunscreen with awesome serum ingredients but it is so good! Like influencer gasp good. PLUS, by the end of the day, my face doesn’t look greasy or oily! Full review coming soon.
This product was gifted, but it was already in my Sephora cart to purchase.
Kiehl’s – Better Screen UV Serum SPF 50+ Facial Sunscreen with Collagen Peptide $19 – $42
Clarins Lip Oil – Sephora Must Have
Lip Oils are a dime a dozen these days, but this one is moisturizing and the lip stain last all day! Choose carefully though, some of the shades have the lip stain feature and some are regular lip oils.
Clarins – Lip Comfort Hydrating Oil (8 shades) $30
Clinique Moisture Surge SPF Moisturizer – Sephora Skip
I was so excited when this dropped. I love the Moisture Surge line, but the $48 Moisture Surge Broad Spectrum SPF 28 Sheer Hydrator Moisturizer is GREASY! If you’re an oily or combination oily beauty, stay far away.
Sephora Collection Makeup Wipes – Sephora Skip
I used to love the Sephora Collection Cleansing + Exfoliating Wipes makeup wipes ($3 – $10), I even wrote a whole post raving about them being one of my favorite makeup wipes.
But, the quality has changed. These makeup wipes are smaller, thinner and less effective (at removing makeup) than the old ones. Why Sephora?!
Lawless Forget The Filler Lip Gloss – Sephora Must Have
Lip plumpers can be hit or miss for me, but this one is perfect! Glossy, pigmented, plumping and smoothing but without that burning feeling you get with strong lip plump formulas. 10/10!

Color WOW Dream Coat Anti-frizz Treatment – Sephora Must Have
This viral product was a pass for me until they released an extra strength formula that seemed perfect for my natural 4B/4C hair type.
OMG, it really makes a difference in the smoothness and manageability of my hair.
When I don’t use this before blow drying, my hair gets poofy within a day or two. It works!
Color WOW – Extra Strength Dream Coat Ultra-Moisturizing Anti-frizz Treatment $32
Kate McLeod Stone Solid Body Moisturizer – Sephora Skip
I’m always looking for body moisturizers that are quick and easy to apply.
Some of the best body creams are a chore to blend in.
So, I grabbed this Kate McLeod solid moisturizer ($12 – $45) hoping I could simply rub it on and keep it movin’.
Nope, this stuff doesn’t melt into the skin, it drags like apply dry soap, and the moisture level is very light. It’s a no for me.
Sephora Collection Eye Shadow Pencils – Sephora Must Have
Shadow pencils are hard for formulate but the Sephora Collection shadow pencils (at least in the shades I have – 04 Taupe & 05 Beige) are surprisingly good!
Pigmented and glide on super easy.
Sephora Collection – Colorful Shadow and Liner Pencil (12 shades) $14
Rare Beauty Tinted Lip Oil – Sephora Skip
I wanted to like the Rare Beauty – Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oils ($20), but its so underwhelming.
Its not nearly as pigmented as the product photos show, and it just fades super quickly.
The color AND the moisture barely lasts an hour!
Still love Rare Beauty though!
Haus Labs Gel-Powder Highlighter – Sephora Must Have
I’ve been looking for a neutral or cool toned deep highlighter for such a long time.
Back in the day, my favorite one was from Kylie Cosmetics but the shade was discontinued when they re-branded.
The Haus Labs Gel-Powder Highlighter is even BETTER than my old fav.
It’s smooth on the skin, lasts all day and gives that glow from within look. Chef’s kiss.
Haus Labs by Lady Gaga – Bio-Radiant Gel-Powder Highlighter with Fermented Arnica (10 shades) $40
The Ordinary Foaming Cleanser – Sephora Skip
I had high hope for The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser ($12.50). Its gentle and non-drying, But its almost like I cant tell if its works.
The jelly consistency sort of moves around on the skin, there’s barely any foam up so I can’t tell if my skin is really being cleansed.
This is coming from a beauty who likes cleansing oils and balms, so huge foaming bubbles are not required for me.
This is just a miss for me.
The Ordinary Eye Serum – Sephora Must Have
Another influence gasp level product. Where has this eye serum been all my life?!
Its got the consistency of a thin oil and absorbs quickly into the skin.
It doesn’t cause extra creasing under makeup, and a little goes a long way.
I see and feel the hydration but its not greasy or heavy.

Sephora sales usually go live at 11:59 PM PDT on the sale start date.
For example, last years’ sale started on Friday, April 14th at 11:59 PM PDT (or 3:00 AM EST) and at 10:00 am local time when retail stores open.
