Long Lasting Body Mists – These Passed My 8-Hour Test

Body mists are everywhere right now, and they’re not always cheap. With some fragrance mists creeping into the $30 and even $50 price range, I want something that smells amazing for hours not gone before lunch.
So, I put popular fragrance mists from drugstore to luxury brands through a wear test. I wore one mist at a time, skipping my usual eau de parfum, over spraying like I normally do, and doing check ins throughout the day.
For me, a long-lasting body mist needs to give me at least 6 hours of wear. That gets me through most of a normal workday. If I can still smell it 8 hours later? That’s a long lasting body mist baddie!
Fenty Skin Vanilla Flowers Body Mist Review
Fenty Skin’s Vanilla Flowers ($35) surprised me because I wasn’t that impressed when I first smelled it in store. It’s a warm vanilla with more complexity than the average sweet body mist, and during my test it stayed noticeable on my skin and clothes throughout my workday.

If you want a vanilla that smells a little more elevated while still giving you all-day wear, Vanilla Flowers is definitely worth a try.

Kopari Kaanapali Coast Hair & Body Mist Review
Kopari’s Kaanapali Coast ($29) surprised me because it’s lighter than my other long lasting body mists. Peach nectar, lemon peel, coconut, creamy milk, and vanilla give it a tropical, beachy sweetness, but it still lasted throughout the day and faded gradually instead of suddenly disappearing.

If you want a long-lasting fragrance mist that is still light and beachy, start with this one.

PHLUR Vanilla Skin Body Mist Review
If we’re talking about projection, PHLUR’s Vanilla Skin was one of the strongest body mists in my entire test. It’s a rich gourmand vanilla with cashmere and sugar crystals that has much more depth than a basic sweet vanilla. I could smell it on my skin and clothes throughout the day and beyond.

If you want a deeper vanilla body mist with strong projection that actually lasts all day, Vanilla Skin is one of my easiest recommendations.

OUAI Ibiza Hair and Body Mist Review
OUAI’s Ibiza fragrance mist crosses over into “this feels closer to actual perfume” territory for me. It’s warm and gourmand with cocoa, tonka bean, vanilla, cinnamon and rum, giving it a rich scent that sticks around instead of disappearing after a few hours.

If you like decadent gourmands and want a body mist you can still smell at the end of the day, this is a good one.

Here’s the Thing
Body mists aren’t necessarily designed to perform like eau de parfums, but if I’m spending $20+ on it, I still want it to last. To get even more wear, I overspray and layer my mists with matching body lotions, body oils and/or perfumes but they also need to stand on their own.
