Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder Review (Cinnamon Bun Wear Test)

  • Is the reformulation worth the hype?

The new Easy Bake Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder is a great talc-free pressed setting powder, but not dramatically better than the original Easy Bake & Snatch version.  If you’re wondering whether the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder is actually worth buying though, this review breaks down the Cinnamon Bun shade with a real life 9-hour wear test video included.

TL;DR on the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder

This version of the Easy Bake Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder is:

  • A smoother under-eye blurring powder with slightly less creasing
  • Very finely milled with a non-cakey texture
  • Slightly deeper and warmer than the original Cinnamon Bun shade

Nubelease rating: Great

Watch My 9-Hour Easy Bake Pressed Powder Wear Test

I wore the original Huda Beauty Easy Bake & Snatch powder on one side of my face and the new Airbrush Matte powder on the other during a full 9-hour wear test review.. Get the tea on how each side held up throughout the day below.

@nubelease I loved the original. I like this one too. After a full 9 hour wear test, the new @Huda Beauty Easy Bake Airbrush Pressed Powder in Cinnamon Bun feels only slightly different from the Easy Bake and Snatch version it replaced. Its slightly more matte, but side by side, the results don’t look dramatically different to me. The Cinnamon Bun shade is also different between the two formulas, which you can see in the swatches. And in case you’re wondering, both versions are still talc-free. Both are great pressed powders! I’ll keep using both and see how my opinion evolves. Why Was The Easy Bake Airbrush Pressed Powder Reformulated?

The original Cinnamon Bun Pressed Powder (top) vs. the reformulated new Cinnamon Bun Pressed Powder (bottom) swatched.

Pressed powders are having a real moment again, especially from brands known for full-glam performance. Huda Beauty built a reputation on bold pigment and long-wear products, so when the original Easy Bake & Snatch pressed powder launched in late 2023, expectations were sky-high.

Some beauties loved it. Others felt it didn’t live up to the iconic Easy Bake loose powder.  The formula leaned more hydrating and gave more of a natural finish than its older sister (Easy Bake Loose Powder).

Fast forward to today, and Huda Beauty has released the Easy Bake Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder reformulation, marketed as a better match to their Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder formula, and this what the beauty community wanted fixed from the first pressed powder launch (allegedly lol).

Both powders are beautiful. This isn’t a dramatic before-and-after situation.

The new Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder keeps the same ultra-fine texture and smooth, non-cakey finish. It blurs a little better, creases less, and holds a matte look longer through the day mainly in the under-eye setting area.

Cinnamon Bun is also slightly deeper and warmer than the original, which matters if you previously used that shade for brightening (like me, ugh).

Outside of the under-eye area, the difference feels smaller.  The original powder still looked more natural across the face, while the new one lets a bit more shine come through in oil-prone areas.

Basically, the new powder performs best under the eyes, while the overall finish remains similar to the original pressed powder to me.

But the real question is: Did Huda Beauty fix the Easy Bake Pressed Powder “problem”?

Is the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder worth it?

The short answer is yes, just not with the dramatic glow-up many expected.

At the same time, the change feels more like a refinement than a reinvention. The original pressed powder already performed well, and while this version improves certain areas, it doesn’t completely redefine the talc-free pressed powder category.

Whether you like the old version better or not though, this reformulated Easy Bake pressed powder is thee version moving forward.

And judged on its own, it’s still a strong, reliable under-eye setting powder that fits comfortably in my “Great” category.

Huda Beauty Is Doing It For The Fans?

Huda Beauty clearly listened to feedback and made thoughtful adjustments, especially when it comes to under-eye wear.  That responsiveness alone deserves credit in a beauty industry that doesn’t always move this quickly.

Even without the original on shelves anymore, the Easy Bake Airbrush Matte Pressed Powder still stands on its own as a solid, high-performing Huda Beauty setting powder.  It may not feel groundbreaking, but it delivers smooth blur, reliable setting power, and the polished finish Huda Beauty is known for.

And sometimes, consistent performance is exactly what a long-term makeup routine needs.
